Hey, my name is Susan Rogers. I am originally from a small town in Mississippi. But I live in Memphis, TN. When I was a little girl of 5, I watched my grandmother making quilts with her hands. At the time, they had no machine, so seeing the beautiful handwork she did was amazing. So she would cut some blocks out for me from her clothes and put me beside her, and I would sew with her. When she passed away, I kept sewing as a teenager. I knew it was my gift in life to make beautiful quilts, and working with The Tutwiler Community Center Quilters over the years, being in the online magazine of The Mississippi Folk of Arts, and having my quilt hanging up at The Two Mississippi Museum, and being honored and given a metal from The Daughter of American Revolution, and have been in the Charleston Mississippi newspaper twice. I am a proud owner and CEO of Susan Rogers Customized Quilts. I am an artist, designer, and quilter.
